Public Input Request - Raton Downtown Master Plan

First Street in Downtown Raton

On Tuesday, December 8, 2009, Planning Director Jennifer Sparaco and Raton MainStreet Manager Shelly Wood presented to the Raton City Commission the final version of the Downtown Master Plan.  The Plan has been an ongoing project since January 2008 in which several public meetings have taken place requesting the input of business owners, property owners, residents, citizens and any interested parties.  With the completion and compilation of all the recommendations and input, the final public hearing will take place on Tuesday, February 9, 2010.

The Downtown Master Plan outlines guiding principles for economic development, streetscape design, building rehabilitation and catalytic projects all within the historical context of downtown Raton.  The Plan will serve as the primary planning document for future downtown projects and as a planning tool encouraging development and including a market analysis which can be used by realtors, developers, property and business owners alike.

If you would like further information, please email Raton MainStreet Manager Shelly Wood.
