Public Comment Period Policy Receives Approval
Raton City Commission approves new policy to improve the process for citizen's comments.
A public comment policy was adopted by the Commission on March 27th which outlines the process for citizens to bring forward their concerns to the Commission. The Commission has requested the policy be in place until May 22, 2012, at which time it will be reviewed.
A person wishing to address the City Commission should first register with the City Clerk by completing a REQUEST TO SPEAK FORM provided by the City which will request the following information: name, residence address, daytime telephone number, and the subject matter to be presented. A person may register either in person or by telephone and my register by noon on the day of the regular meeting with the City Clerk.
