Absentee Voting
Absentee Voting for the September 14, 2010 Special Municipal Election is available through the Office of the City Clerk.
Election day is Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Sample ballots are available at the Office of the City Clerk, the Arthur Johnson Memorial Library and the Raton Senior Citizens Center.
Absentee Voting will begin on August 10, 2010 and will end September 10, 2010. Voters wishing to vote by Absentee may request an application through the Office of the City Clerk at 224 Savage Avenue or by calling (575) 445-9451. Once the application is returned to the Office of the City Clerk, a ballot can be mailed to the registered voter or voted in the office. An absentee ballot may not be taken out of the office. The City Clerk will accept completed absentee ballots delivered by mail, or in person by the voter casting the absentee ballot, by a member of the voter's immediate family or by the caregiver of the voter until 7:00 pm on September 14, 2010.
Early Voting by machine begins on August 25, 2010 and ends September 10, 2010. Voters wishing to vote prior to Election Day may come to the Office of the City Clerk during regular business hours (8:00 am - 5:00 pm), Monday through Friday, file an application, and cast their vote by machine.
Please remember that only those residents registered within the municipal boundaries with the Colfax County Clerk by Tuesday, August 17, 2010 are eligible to vote in the September 14, 2010 Special Municipal Election.
