Vermejo Park offers an unparalleled opportunity to hunt and fish in one of the last large tracts of land that still resembles the West before we altered it almost beyond recognition in the last century.
The ranch has elevations ranging from 6,400’ to 12,960’ covering six biogeographic life zones.
Wildlife on the property include: 8,000-10,000 elk, 3,000-4,000 deer, 2,000 bison, 183 bird species identified, bald and golden eagles.
Tree species include: bristlecone pine, ponderosa and piñon pines, aspen, juniper, oak, spruce, and Douglas and white firs.
More than 40,000 pounds of trout are stocked annually.
