Disc Golf in Raton!
Have an idea about getting a disc golf coarse set up in Raton. Disc golf is usually a free to the public activity, that will help kids and families to get outside and stay active. It can also help visitors to stop by, play and enjoy Raton. Disc golf is very popular in bigger cities, in fact Pueblo has the third oldest disc golf coarse in the state of Colorado.
The proposal: The disc golf coarse can be nine hole coarse, best location would probably be around the swimming pool walking trails and the Bonahoom Park area. Each disc golf "hole" net is a metal chain link post that cost an average of 100$ a piece. Plus setting up some tee off plates with signs and a map. The project shouldn't cost more than 1500$ in materials, not sure what permits might be required.
This would be a great addition to the horse shoe pits, and the swimming pool in that area for residents and visitors alike. Adding another available activity to do in Raton
