To minimize the exposure of citizens to the spread of COVID-19 and in cooperation with the NM Department of Health, management has closed public access to City offices and thus limiting customer payment transactions. Customers are asked to utilize the drop boxes, the drive-up window at Raton Public Service or by credit card payments made online or by telephone. To assist customers, RPS, RWW and the City of Raton will temporarily absorb the credit card convenience fees for online and telephone payments. We have also determined that it is in the best interest of our customers to extend disconnection of utilities for non-payment to the 15th day of the following month of the bill’s original due date. (example: April bill due on April 10th may be disconnected May 15th). Late fees still apply and payment arrangements may be set up on a case by case basis.
